The best way for you to get to know us better is to experience our informative membership class, Starting Point. In this informal time, Pastor Greg shares the vision for our community and answers any questions you may have about Friend Church. This class is a prerequisite to membership; however taking this class in no way obligates you. We want to share the excitement of what God is doing and this is another way in which we do that. Starting Point generally lasts about 60 minutes. Childcare is available upon request and we will serve refreshments.

Friend Church 2.0 Discipleship Launch

Friend Church 2.0 is a brand new discipleship initiative that we believe will radically transform our church.   It is not simply a series of more classes that will educate you; it’s a brand new process by which we will make disciples at Friend Church.  The whole process is broken down into three phases: the Follower Series, the Servant Series, and Friend Series.

The Follower Series

The “Follower” Series is the first major phase in our new discipleship process.  It’s designed to guide you in the basic, fundamental steps to take to begin following Jesus.  These classes will challenge you and provide the necessary foundation to grow on.

The Servant Series

The “Servant” Series is the second major phase in our new discipleship process.  It’s designed to build on top of the previous series and prepare you to understand your growing role in your own spiritual growth, your gifts, and how to appropriately steward those gifts.

Session 1.  “The Personal Scriptures” – Sunday, April 27 from 6:00–8:00

Session 2.  “Developing Faith” – Sunday, May 4 from 6:00–8:00

Session 3.  “The Outward Disciplines” – Sunday, May 18 from 6:00–8:00

Friend Groups - The Small Group Ministry at Friend Church

What are Friend Groups?
FC Friend Groups are small groups that meet in the homes of FC members and friends. They are committed to developing and growing in their relationship with God and each other.

Why should I join a Friend Group?
By joining a Friend Group, you are taking a bold step in becoming a mature friend of Christ through Bible study, fellowship, prayer and accountability. Our Friend Groups are about getting you connected within the FC family and building real relationships in a safe and casual environment.

How do I know which group is right for me?
Relationships can not be forced, so we offer a lot of freedom to find the group that's right for you. At FC there are all kinds of groups: mixed, couples, singles, women's, men's and they all range from 5-15 people.

* Most groups meet on a bi-weekly basis usually in someone's home.

* Groups periodically and regularly have socials and do ministry projects together to help someone in need.

* Groups cover a variety of topics that meet the needs of the group.

* Some groups offer childcare.

Each FC Friend Group is designed to encourage you in your journey to develop your friendship with God.

We work hard to create an atmosphere at Friend Church each Sunday that honors God, and allows us to experience His presence.  We are blessed and it is a privilege to humbly come before the King!  Believing to be wired to worship God, we want to express our excitement and adoration to Him for everything that He has done and is doing for us.

Spiritual transformation (Discipleship) is very important to us.  The Christian life is exciting and every day is one of growing and developing to be like Christ.  We intentionally make disciples by providing sound biblical principles through the teaching of the Word and in Bible Study in our home groups.  We want to help you move from being a believer and follower to becoming a servant and a mature friend of Christ.

One of the keys to our growth is to continually reach out to our community and those outside the body of Christ.  Every day we encounter folks that need a friend, and we believe that being friends with God in a relationship with Jesus Christ is the best friendship you will ever experience.  It is for eternity!  Invite your friends and family and neighbors and co-workers to come and see what it means to be a friend of Jesus.
